Position Summary:
To ensure that each guest receives an unforgettable Italian meal. Prepares dishes according to company recipes, ensures that all dishes are made according to company specifications, using diverse methods of preparation.
Essential Job Functions:
Prepares a variety of foods, with diverse methods of preparation and adheres to specific product pre and handling procedures and plate presentation.
Adheres to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
Ensures proper execution of recipe procedures which maintain a high quality and consistent product.
Maintains cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
Keeps prepared food continuously flowing out of the kitchen.
Communicated ticket times and potential problems with the expeditor, manager and serves if necessary.
Breaks down, and cleans station or work area at end of shift.
Ensures proper rotation of all products and stocks product to par.
Cleans and sanitizes thought the shift.
Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with established company policies to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company team members to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate which will be conducive to maximum team member morale, productivity and efficiency/effectiveness.
At all times provides a favorable image of Romano's Macaroni Grill to promote its aims and objectives and foster and enhance public recognition and acceptance of all its areas of endeavor.
Education and Experience:
High School education or equivalent
Minimum of one to two years kitchen experience in a full service restaurant
Special Working Conditions:
Position requires extensive interaction with the public and all levels of employees both within and outside of organization.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to work in an environment where there may be regular exposure to noise, odors, fumes, temperature fluctuations, grease and other conditions associated with a restaurant.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 70 pounds, up to 20 times per shift; place these items on high shelves and in walk-in freezers.
Works indoors 75%, outdoors 25%.
Works frequently in hot and damp working environment.
Must be able to constantly stand and exert well-paced mobility for a period up to four hours in length.
Frequent bending and stooping.
Must have a good sense of balance, be able to bend, kneel, stoop, reach and squat on a frequent basis to obtain and store food, beverage items, smallwares and service equipment.
Must be able to read tickets.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Vision abilities to include: distance, close, color, depth, and peripheral. Also the ability to adjust focus.
Frequently works with sharp knives.
Frequently immerses hands in water, which may have chemical solutions.
Able to communicate with manager and team members to ensure guest satisfaction.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
